On Tuesday, August 24th 2010 at about 11:00 a.m. Oakbank RCMP executed a CDSA ( Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) Search Warrant at a residence in the R.M. of Springfield, Manitoba. The property is located just North of the town of Anola, Manitoba.

RCMP Investigators located 44 marihuana plants at the residence, and a variety of cultivation equipment.

The marijuana plants have an estimated value of $44,000.00.

Two residents of the property, a 45 year old woman, and a 55 year old man, were arrested and have been charged with Possession of Marijuana, and Cultivation of Marijuana.

Both have been released on court documents, and are scheduled to appear in Beausejour Provincial court at a future date.

Police continue to investigate. No further information is available at this time.
