Frison up to the challenge as ACC a school in transition

BRANDON- The greatest successes in life are the ones you work for, and Mark Frison the new President of Assiniboine Community College has the challenge of guiding the school through a time of transition and growth unseen in its history. Frison addressed the staff at the school for the first time this morning at a luncheon and is placed with the task of leading the College into its next phase of growth.

Frison was quick to commend the school and the quality of staff as he says it will be the staff that will make the transition a successful one. "When you're in a project as exciting as this you have to accept there is going to be some transition, but you keep your eye on the ball as when the campus is complete it will be one of the most exciting places to be in (education) Canada." In the interim he knows the College will face some challenges with campus being scattered throughout the City, but was quick to note that it is a practice that has been in place and successful with both the Downtown campus as well as the satellite campus in Dauphin.

Frison comes to the school at a time of unprecedented growth in the trades division as well as Nursing which currently harbors a waiting list for applicants to the program. It is an exciting time of year noted Frison as you are readying the school for return of students as well as the staff to the complex. Frison commended the staff for their assistance in making his transition to the helm of ACC a successful one. "Folks have been excellent, from the moment it was announced that they were coming people have been welcoming." he also noted that it was obvious that the College seemed like an excellent place to work with people proud of their accomplishments.
